This enclosure, built on the edge of Cornouaille, warmly blends the yellow hues of Logonna stone with the darker colours of kersanton.

At the birth of the Monts d'Arrée, the wealth of Le Tréhou was essentially built on the cultivation and, above all, the weaving of linen between the 13th and 19th centuries. The commune, like others, was under the influence of the "Juloded", peasant merchants who bought flax and sold cloth.

Sainte-Pitère church, built in the 16th century, was remodelled in the following century.
At first glance, the domed bell tower (1649) rises elegantly into the sky.
The listed calvary, dated 1578, is a fine example of the harmonious blend of the two types of stone. The 12 apostles are sculpted in bas-relief on the base. Closer up, the statue of Sainte-Pitère, finely carved in kersanton, dominates the Renaissance porch where a sandstone eave bears the date 1610. Inside the porch are 4 statues of the apostles, the work of Landerne sculptor Roland Doré.

The church interior also contains a stained-glass Passion window, a 17th-century altarpiece and several old statues (including one dating from 1527).

Please note: the church is open on request from the Town Hall, and keys can be collected during opening hours.
