The Morlaix arts tour tunnel
Morlaix is the perfect place to combine its historic heritage with the art of urban frescoes. After the incredible public response to the first edition in 2019 and the interest shown by the whole of Brittany, the Bay of Morlaix is now becoming a must-see destination for Street-Art with the recent opening of the Tunnel!
"Obsidian, la légende du Dragon" is the theme of this immersive street-art exhibition, set in an unusual and mysterious location: the Morlaix funicular tunnel. Built in 1906, the tunnel was intended to link Morlaix station to the town centre, but the funicular project never came to fruition and the tunnel has remained totally unused ever since. This is the first time the public will have access to this astonishing site.
An urbex atmosphere guaranteed!
Several works of street art will be on display in the Tunnel, including the imposing dragon sculpture created by Ezra, which has a 7 m wingspan, is 12 m long and 4 m high! In all, there are 7 artists and their works to discover: the German Bund Truluv, Tramber, Akhine, the British Guy Denning, Manolo Chrétien, Scaf and Ezra.
