Created in 1846, the museum is housed in the former palace of the Bishops of Cornouaille. It has displays of archaeology, popular arts and decorative arts in Finistère. The ground floor is devoted to prehistory and ancient art, while the first floor exhibits traditional costumes, antique furniture, stained glass, gold and silverware and Quimper pottery.
