Passerelle Centre d'art contemporain is an exhibition, production, distribution and mediation centre created in 1988 by an association of arts enthusiasts involved in the life of Brest. Today, with around ten exhibitions a year spread over three seasons, French and international artists are invited to produce original works for solo exhibitions or for the major group exhibition, whose theme unites territories on all scales, from local to international.

Embodying collaboration and originality, the art centre's central patio becomes an experimental space for diverse forms of contemporary creation, sometimes on the margins, from graphic design to dance or music to design. Exhibitions, performances, workshops, concerts, signings and more, organised in collaboration with partners, punctuate the programme throughout the year.

Passerelle Centre d'art contemporain's Atelier des publics develops an introductory programme to contemporary art in conjunction with current exhibitions and specific off-site projects, offering a variety of mediation activities for all audiences.

Passerelle has been awarded the "Centre d'art contemporain d'intérêt national" label by the French Ministry of Culture.
