Situated at the tip of the peninsula of the same name (which is listed and managed by the Conservatoire du littoral), renowned for its beautiful walks, the Kermorvan lighthouse is a special spot offering breathtaking views of the Iroise Sea. After climbing its 77 steps, a superb panorama encompassing the port of Le Conquet, Pointe Saint-Mathieu, the islands and the Trezien lighthouse will unfold before you.

Before heading up to admire the scenery, a unique experience awaits in the watchroom. An impressive multimedia presentation, using video and audio projections, takes place to recount the daily routine of the lighthouse keepers. Experience the daily life of these guardians of the horizon from the inside and let the lighthouse keeper take you on an immersive journey… A wonderful experience at the westernmost lighthouse on mainland France. This project was carried out with the support of the Brittany Region.

It stands 20.35 metres tall. The rotating optical system produces a steady white flash every 5 seconds. Its range is 22 miles (approximately 40 km).

It is aligned with the lighthouses at Lochrist, Trézien and Saint-Mathieu, and marks the channels of La Helle and Le Four. It was commissioned in 1849 under the supervision of engineer Louis Plantier.

Its square-shaped tower was, at the time, quite unusual compared to other lighthouses along the coast. It is the second structure of this type to have been built in Finistère, following the one on Île Noire, which came into service in 1845 at the mouth of the River Morlaix.
