Historical sites and monuments

History, Maritime, Lighthouse
From its 37 meters, the lighthouse of Trézien illuminates the sea up to 32 km. Up there, you will be between heaven and earth to contemplate the coast and the sea as you have never seen them! Erected in 1894, automated a century later, the lighthouse of Trézien stands 500 m from the shore of the town of Plouarzel at the tip of northern Finistère. From its height of 37.20 m, it stoically monitors the entrance to the channel of the furnace, delimiting the Atlantic Ocean of the Channel. The lighthouse at Trézien lets visitors access its lantern whose directional light illuminates the high seas up to 32 km from the coast. Take your time to climb the 182 steps of the staircase that sneaks into the granite stone masonry tower from the Aber Ildut. It will give you access to a wonderful panorama of the Saint-Mathieu lighthouse at the lighthouse of the Four, from the islands of the Mer d'Iroise to Corsen Point where is located the regional center of maritime rescue, the Cross Corsen.
