A unique site at regional level, Langazel is the oldest peat bog in Brittany. On this walk, discover the unspoilt flora and fauna of Langazel, a protected natural area. There are many rare and protected species of flora, including sundews, orchids and beautiful heather. There is also a wealth of wildlife, including deer, squirrels, hen harriers, long-eared owls, a multitude of butterflies and other wetland insects. Part of the route has been laid out as an interpretation trail, allowing you to discover the history of this unique site. A few recommendations: - Boots are essential in winter. In summer, good shoes are recommended. - Do not stray from the footpath. - Do not pick flowers and keep your dogs on a lead.

1 Départ de l'enclos paroissial

Au bourg de Trémaouézan, jetez un œil à l’église et son enclos paroissial, il fait partie du circuit des enclos remarquables en Finistère. Le sentier de randonnée commence à gauche de l’école communale.

2 Sentier boisé

Le sentier vous mène à travers des exploitations agricoles, de charmants hameaux, jusqu’au cœur de la zone humide de Langazel, faite de paysages de prairies, de landes et de tourbières. Vous passerez par un bois de pins, vous franchirez et suivrez l’Aber-Wrac’h, puis utiliserez le tracé de l’ancienne voie ferrée qui reliait Landerneau à Brignogan et qui longe des anciennes fosses d’extraction de la tourbe.
