Discover Concarneau, where heritage meets the coast.
Set off to explore Concarneau on a walk that immerses you in the town’s history and maritime atmosphere. The route begins opposite the belfry of the Ville-Close, a true symbol of Concarneau, then continues around its ramparts, offering beautiful views of the town and its harbours.
Next, head to the quays of the marina before passing the Marinarium, dedicated to marine biodiversity. Continue on to the Chapelle de la Croix, then stroll along Quai Nul to soak up the atmosphere of the seafront promenade.
For the return journey, take a leisurely stroll along the Dumont-d’Urville pedestrian street, which is ideal for exploring the shops in the town centre, before ending your walk at Les Halles, Concarneau’s covered market, where local produce and regional specialities invite you to enjoy one last gourmet treat.

Please note: access to the ramparts depends on the opening hours of the Maison du Patrimoine and is therefore not available all year round. However, part of the ramparts (the Carré des Larrons and the ‘fer à cheval’ section) remains freely accessible throughout the year.
