Boucle n°1 Les 4 chapelles
Discover the small heritage of the Bigouden region and take in the views of the Audierne bay. Pedal through the Bigouden hills and find the four chapels that stand behind the coastal dune: Notre-Dame-de-Tronoën, also known as the "Cathedral of the Dunes", Saint-Budoc (Beuzec), Saint-Evy and Saint-Vio. En route, you can see the remains of the Atlantic Wall, with its blockhouses and the Ero Vili "pebble causeway" in Breton, on the beach at Kermabec near the old crusher. This walk is also an opportunity to cycle through rich, protected natural areas. Start/Finish point: Maison de la Baie d'Audierne in Tréguennec Signposts: signposted loop current 2025, follow green signpost no. 1 Difference in altitude: 136 D+. Recommended bikes: Mountain bikes, ATVs, EVs Direction of route: anticlockwise Practical information: -Public toilets available on the route -The route passes through a playground Variant : At Tronoën, continue north on the route du vent solaire and take the first path on the right to Kerdapon to reach the Kerveltré fountain. This variant is recommended for mountain bikers. Length: 950 metres Advice before setting off: -Make sure you have the right equipment before you set off: check the condition of your bike (brakes, lights, tyres) and make sure you have everything you need for repairs.Wear a helmet: it is compulsory for under-12s and strongly recommended thereafter. Yellow waistcoats are compulsory outside built-up areas where visibility is poor. -Share the road and respect the rules: pedestrian areas, pavements. -Take something to eat and drink with you. Rules and good practice: -Make sure you don't leave any objects or rubbish behind: if there are no bins, take your rubbish with you. -Respect the fragile balance of flora and fauna in all areas. -Respect private property.
