Balade de Saint-Cado
Discover the Bannalec countryside along the Isole valley. Starting from the chapel of Saint Cado. Take the signposted mountain bike trail no. 23
On this ride through the Isole Valley, you'll discover the tree-lined paths of the Bannalec countryside.
Built between 1655 and 1660, and restored in the 1970s, this chapel, named after Saint Cado, is notable for its trefoil plan and overturned ship's hull frame, a rarity in Finistère. Every year at the end of August, the pardon of Saint-Cado returns with its traditional white hen auction and fest-noz!
To start the walk, head for the field behind the chapel, then take the signposted mountain bike trail no. 23. On your way: the Saint-Cado stream, a view of the village of Saint-Thurien and its bell tower, the river Isole, which stretches for 48 km between the Montagnes Noires in central Brittany and Quimperlé, with the Saint-Cado fountain, whose water is said to be able to cure the deaf.
