This fort was built at the end of the 18th century. It was one of a series of 5 detached forts built to protect Brest on land against the risk of an enemy landing on the coast. Remarkably well preserved, it is a superb example of late 18th century fortification. Take a tour of the galleries, casemates and sentry walk, and discover Brest's fortified past.
