The Town of Châteaulin invites you to discover ‘Breton Tales and Legends’, a concert combining singing, storytelling and organ music, on Thursday 30 July at 8.30 pm at Notre-Dame Church.

Led by Sylvain Pias, singer and storyteller, and Gwenaël Riou, organist and musicologist, this concert brings the great legends of Brittany to life in an atmosphere that is at once poetic, immersive and moving.

Throughout the performance, the voice and the organ engage in a dialogue to bring to life the stories and songs inspired by Breton heritage. Lost sailors, storms, pilgrimages, mysterious creatures and folk traditions intertwine with a musical repertoire centred on the sea.

Programme
- The Submergence of Ys (legend)
- The Wind
- The Lament of Penmarc’h (traditional song from the Bigouden region)
- The Enchantress of the Glénan Islands (tale)
- The Penhors Pilgrimage and The First Pilgrimage to Sainte-Anne (excerpts from *Le Cheval d’orgueil*)
