A photographer for 40 years, Jean-Louis Grandin enjoys drawing on textures, reliefs, striations, flat areas of colour and hues that invite you to wander through the realms of his imagination, inspired by Informal Art.

The ‘Fard d’estran’ collection comprises a series of photographs of seaweed taken at low tide. Within their chaotic piles, the photographer seeks out colourful organic forms, which he transforms whilst retaining their essence. He intensifies the pigments of the fringes and darkens their beds to give rise to currents of colour imbued with lyrical abstraction.

For this exhibition, the photographer has been inspired by Vivaldi’s *The Four Seasons*. He invites you to mark each season with the movements of seaweed, whose colours—from allegro to adagio—will evoke the vibrant green of spring, the fiery blues of summer, the flamboyant reds of autumn, right through to the sombre slumber of winter.
