Ciné-doc : “Terre Neuve”

"The island of Newfoundland is situated in eastern Canada. Its majestic fjords, rugged coastlines and sheltered bays have been shaped by the sea; so too has its history. Over the years, people have braved the storms to reach its shores: Indigenous peoples, Vikings, Basque and Breton fishermen, and French, English and Irish settlers.

What legacy did these people leave behind? It was with this question in mind that Lynda and Martin travelled the length and breadth of Newfoundland. They met fishermen, artists and writers, all committed to preserving traditions.

Through this film, they invite you to discover the culture and untamed beauty of a little-known region."
