Château de Keriolet

Dating back to the 13th century, the manor house was remodelled by the diocesan architect Joseph Bigot at the end of the 19th century on behalf of Princess Zenaïde Narischkine, aunt of Tsar Nicholas II. She financed the construction of a superb neo-Gothic building for her husband, Count Charles de Chauveau. Over the course of the 20th century, the castle had several owners, including the princess's great-grandson, Prince Felix Yusupov (famous for being Rasputin's assassin). Keriolet, a castle with such atypical architecture, is a must-see place to visit in summer! - Open from 8 June to 30 September inclusive. - Guided tours from 10am to 1pm and from 2pm to 6pm. - Last tours depart at 12 noon and 5pm. Closed on Saturdays.
