Boucle n°3 Autour du Ster
The ideal land-sea tour for the whole family. Enjoy the ever-changing scenery of the fishing port, its shops and nautical centre, its narrow country lanes, all close to the coast as the ocean is never far away. Along the way you can discover megaliths, unusual buildings and small heritage sites. Take time out for a shady break at the chapel of Plonivel and enjoy the most beautiful views of the mouth of the Ster. Start/Finish point: Port de Lesconil (Quai de Pontruche/Parking de la Corniche) Signposts: green signpost No. 3 Difference in altitude: 100D+. Recommended bikes: VTC, VTT, VAE, VTTAE Direction of route: Anti-clockwise Warning: Every Wednesday morning (08:30-12:30), the Lesconil market runs alongside the port, with all kinds of local produce and terraces. D/A can be maintained but feet on land compulsory. Practical info: -Public toilets available on the route -There is a picnic area on the route. Variants : -Option 1: To the north-west of the route, heading back up the D102, you can extend the loop by passing the dolmens of Kervignon, Kerfuens and Kervadol (points of interest nos. 6, 7 and 8). -Option 2: Possibility of a D/A at Place du 19 Mars 1962: this allows you to extend the loop by passing through the centre of Plobannalec to the north of the circuit (points of interest 9 and 10). Advice before setting off: -Make sure you're properly equipped before you set off: check the condition of your bike (brakes, lights, tyres) and make sure you have everything you need to repair it.Wear a helmet: it's compulsory for under-12s and strongly recommended thereafter. Yellow waistcoats are compulsory outside built-up areas where visibility is poor. -Share the road and respect the rules: pedestrian areas, pavements. -Take something to eat and drink with you. Rules and good practice: -Make sure you don't leave any objects or rubbish behind: if there are no bins, take your rubbish with you. -Respect the fragile balance of flora and fauna in all areas. -Respect private property.
